Australian Parents for Climate Action wouldn't be possible without the amazing work our volunteers do!

In July we launched our Solar Our Schools campaign with an Open Letter to the federal government calling for Solar & Batteries for all schools and early learning centres in Australia. We're looking for two types volunteers to support this campaign and make it as big as possible: Champions and Organisers!

If you're interested in being a School or Childcare Champion, please fill out the Google form below. If you are interested in being an Organiser, please fill out the relevant details on this page. We will get back to you shortly.

We want to promote our Open Letter as far and as wide as possible! So we're seeking School and Childcare Champions who can send it out through their school/centre and personal networks, and create community buzz. Champions will be provided with a list of suggested actions and lots of resources to support you, training and check-in sessions (not compulsory, but fun!), and will have guidance from a team of Regional Organisers.
To register as a School/Childcare Champion, please complete this short Google form.

Time commitment: From 20 minutes-2 hours a week (MAX 4 hours)

Location: You work from home!

We're seeking Regional Organisers who can help us with supporting the School and Childcare Champions. Regional Organisers will help reach out to Champions within a certain area (or can reach out to friends across the country if that suits best!), send out resources, do a few check ins, and link up Champions in similar areas. You will receive training, be part of a fun team of organisers and it will involve MAX 4 hours a week. To find out more, check the 'Regional Organiser' box on this page.

Time commitment: 2-4 hours a week (MAX 4 hours)

Location: You work from home!

Will you volunteer?

Australian Parents for Climate Action meet and work on the lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
