Suzie Brown

Board - Non-Executive Director

Suzie (she/her) founded Australian Parents for Climate Action in 2019 after noticing that parents of preschool and school-aged children were largely absent from climate advocacy. She has been at the forefront of climate campaigning for 20 years, having run environmental campaigns at the Australian Conservation Foundation and Environment Victoria, and consulting to local government and nonprofits. Suzie was awarded a 2022 Pro Bono Australia Impact 25 Award for her impact through Australian Parents for Climate Action. 

Suzie was our founding CEO, and now continues as a dedicated non-Executive Director on our Board. She also teaches Mindfulness meditation to help Australians to feel less stressed and have the tools to cope with eco anxiety She lives on Darkinjung Land (Central Coast NSW) in an ecovillage.

Parents for Climate meet and work on the lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
