Heidi Lee Douglas

Communications & Campaigns Director

One value unites all of Heidi Lee Douglas' work: creating powerful, engaging stories that explore social and environmental justice issues in unexpected ways, that find new audiences and move the dial. For the last twenty years Heidi has worked closely with the most effective social change makers in Australia, shaping story wars, winning campaigns, growing audiences and empowering people to have their voices heard. Because every day counts. Every voice matters. Be the change we want to see in the world. We are the creators of the new mythologies.

As a Writer/Director/Producer, Heidi's award winning films range across genres - from globally effective game changing environmental campaign films, to personal driven broadcast documentary, playful music videos, and internationally recognised elevated genre shorts that explore social issues through the dark and fantastical.

Heidi is a mother of two lively boys, and is a passionate community builder, veggie gardener, backyard chook owner and e-bike enthusiast. Heidi has been learning how to walk lightly on the planet for the last twenty years, and her deepest learning came from working with Aboriginal elders across the country.

For Heidi the future of the planet depends on us acting now – with joy – to transform our society into one that is sustainable and just for all.

Parents for Climate meet and work on the lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
