With over 17,000 supporters, and local groups in every state and territory, we represent families from across the political spectrum, in every Australian electorate, and from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

We seek non-partisan responses from government and business to climate change and its impacts.

We’re on a mission to engage and empower millions of parents across Australia to advocate for climate action in their communities, in the media and to politicians and businesses.

Our vision is for our children to live safe, healthy, prosperous lives because Australian governments and businesses have implemented the solutions required to ensure a safe climate.

We are a parent organisation, run by parents for parents. Founded in 2019 by six regional, rural and urban mums in four states and territories - with strengths in campaigning, policy, lobbying, ecology, engineering and parenting - we've grown rapidly to fill a critical gap in the climate movement.

Parents are a very large constituency reaching across all sectors of society and politics who together hold strong moral, electoral and purchasing power. If we engage and empower a strong constituency of parents to advocate for climate action, together our pressure will increase the sustained political and corporate will to implement the solutions required to ensure a safe future for our children.

Together, we are motivated by love - for our children and families, for thriving cultures and communities, for the natural world and all species in it. 

As parents, we are deeply concerned about our children’s future – current global emissions levels are driving bushfires, heat stress, droughts, storms, floods and sea level rise that threaten our children’s safety, survival and quality of life. We are fighting for our children’s future!

The key commitments we ask from government and business are:

1. Commit to 75% emissions reductions on 2005 levels by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2035.
2. Allow no new fossil fuel projects, including stopping the Adani coal mine.
3. Prioritise a smooth and fair transition for all workers and communities impacted by the climate crisis, including fossil fuel industry communities and indigenous communities.
4. Commence a program to rapidly drawdown carbon emissions using natural climate solutions including tree planting, regenerative agriculture, kelp forest regeneration and ‘blue carbon’.

Despite claims by the current government that Australia is insignificant in global climate emissions,

"Australia is a significant player worldwide. We are the 16th largest emitter of CO2 out of more than 200 countries, and our per capita emissions are in the top 10 globally. When our exported fossil fuels are included – we would rank 5th in the world in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. This means we bear significant international responsibility in the global effort needed to mitigate the escalating climate driven risks." (Climate Council)

As a wealthy, stable country with an abundance of sun, wind and tidal energy, we have the opportunity to become a renewable energy superpower! We also have strong potential to lead and influence other nations, rather than being climate laggards. We can share the solutions and technologies, cease our fossil fuel exports to other countries, and use diplomacy and trade to influence other countries to cut their emissions.

To solve this crisis and secure a safe future for everyone, all countries must act - including Australia!
