Dr Heidi Edmonds

Board - Non-Executive Director

Dr Heidi Edmonds (she/her) is a co-founder and Non-Executive Director of Australian Parents for Climate Action. She is the Project Manager for Queensland Projects at climate and energy solutions think tank Beyond Zero Emissions. Her current work is focused on developing a pathway for Gladstone in Central Queensland to become a Renewable Energy Industrial Precinct. Heidi’s background is in applied research in chemical and environmental engineering and ecology. She holds a PhD in environmental science from Griffith University. Heidi has written academic papers on ecological resilience and climate vulnerability. She uses her background in applied engineering and ecological research, biodiversity protection, communications and stakeholder engagement to further solutions to the climate crisis. Heidi is passionate about applying her systems analysis and research skills to drive great outcomes for good jobs in clean energy and modern manufacturing. Heidi is the mother of two young children and lives in Meanjin (Brisbane). Connect with Heidi on LinkedIn.
