Join us every Friday to take action for the future of our children and the planet. As part of the #FridaysforFuture campaign originally started by Greta Thunberg in Sweden, the courageous 15 year old student who sparked off the StudentsStrike4Climate, we are calling on our members to take positive climate action every Friday.

You can do these big or small actions to support climate action on #Fridaysforfuture:

Head to your local Federal MP or Senator’s office and join other parents doing the same around Australia.
All you need is a folding chair and a large banner to sit outside their office and you’re all set! While you’re there don’t forget to write them a note about your concern about climate change and your child’s future, and hand it in. If you can have a chat with the MP or their staff, all the better!

Call or write to your local MP asking them to declare the climate emergency and commit to taking action.
Check out our page on phoning or writing to your MP or Government Minister about climate change. A personal call or letter is so much more powerful than any petition ever will be!

Choose a climate-saving action your can do from home
There are so many small actions to help reduce your own contribution to climate change from eating less meat to switching to a fossil-fuel free super fund – here’s a list of actions to get you started.

Please post a photo of yourself at the sit-in or tell us about your action at home in our Facebook group.

Australian Parents for Climate Action meet and work on the lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
